Stella and Jacob's Intimate Wedding
Working with Stella and Jacob to document their engagement and wedding in the Ardencote Manor was one of the highlights of my year. I can't fully describe the beauty and love at this ceremony in words; that's why I have pictures and videos to show you how special it was. It embodied the true spirit of love and how to stay happy even in trying times. In the following paragraphs, I share with you what I mean, so let's get started.
What Stella & Jacob say:
We simply cannot do Veronika justice with the words we write. Not only was she our photographer and our guest on our wedding day, Veronika fulfilled the role of a wedding advisor during the pandemic, providing us with valuable advice and information continuously.
It was a privilege to work alongside Veronika and witness her talents first-hand. Her talents go beyond 'taking photos'. Her kind words and elegant style made us feel comfortable in front of the camera leading up to and on the day itself.
Veronika was able to capture every moment of our wedding and compiled our happiest memories and the beauty of our special day into her work. She is a true and passionate professional, who loves her job, cares for her clients and fills couples with confidence and a sense of relaxation. We cannot recommend her enough.

The Engagement Session
Before their engagement photos, Stella and Jacob had never had professional photos taken. This was their first experience with a professional photographer, which made the engagement session very important. It gives couples like Stella and Jacob a chance to practice for their wedding day.
You see, it is one thing to want beautiful wedding images and another to be comfortable displaying your love in front of the camera. The latter is vital for the former, so an engagement session is a necessity. It gives you a chance to get to know your photographer and practice for your wedding day.
The Highlight Video
For the engagement, this couple chose to go the down to earth way with both wearing jeans and tops that complemented each other. I captured this session at Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, a lovely place that provided the perfect canvass. I especially loved the floral images and the way this couple's love was evident the entire time.
The Wedding Day
I did a hybrid coverage for Stella and Jacob's Ardencote Manor Wedding. That means I handled the photography + video as one person. It was a lovely change from the regular for me. However, this was made easy because Stella and Jacob had a very small and intimate wedding.
Theirs was a covid-secured wedding where only 15 guests could attend, including the wedding couple. But despite all the restrictions, it was a lovely day. As I said earlier, this couple is a beautiful testament to the fact that love really does conquer all. They didn't let the pandemic stop their celebration.

Bride Getting Ready
We were fortunate with the weather because it was an April wedding. That means that it was sunny and we had a blue sky all day. It made for a charming wedding atmosphere. I started the day by capturing essential details like the bridal shoes, the wedding rings, the bridal perfume and the wedding invites. Next, I documented Stella getting her hair and makeup done with her lovely veil attached. It was an extraordinary moment, and Stella looked fabulous.
The Wedding Ceremony
The look on Stella and Jacob's face as Stella walked down the aisle was so beautiful. They had an intimate ceremony at St Margaret's Church in Olton, which was live-streamed. This was necessary as they had relatives who couldn't attend because of the travel restrictions because they live all around the world (including South Africa and New Zealand).
Also, because of that, they did their cake cutting straight after the ceremony inside the church. It was a lovely change from the regular reception cake cutting routine. Before the cake cutting, the couple listened to the wedding sermon, said their vows, and exchanged rings. Soon, they were pronounced Mr and Mrs and could share a sizzling kiss that had everyone emotional and smiling.
The Wedding Reception
Stella and Jacob's wedding reception took place at the Ardencote Manor. There they had their very private island for the wedding reception, and everyone got their welcome drink on arrival. The venue, unfortunately, wasn't allowed to serve any drinks or food, but that didn't stop anyone from celebrating. They decided to bring their own homemade food and had a great time. There was even an Easter egg hunt as entertainment for the little ones as well as for the big ones. Everyone was searching for chocolate eggs hidden across the island, and it was so much fun.
The Photo Shoot
Stella and Jacob's wedding photo and video shoot was wonderful and took place at Ardencote Manor. Watching them dance and twirl in happiness as they celebrated tying the knot was really beautiful. Ardencote Manor also provided a very picturesque atmosphere for this shoot, with fountains, lovely lawns and a beautiful bridge all playing their part.
