Bridal Boudoir Photography as your Wedding Gift

Updated: Jun 26

Are you thinking about what to give your husband-to-be as your wedding gift? Your bridal boudoir photography could be a perfect gift for him. Imagine giving him a beautiful collection of photographs presented in a high-quality photo book during your honeymoon.

It's also an opportunity to boost your self-confidence and to show how incredible you really are. It is an empowering experience and reminding yourself that it's not the wedding dress what makes you beautiful on your wedding day, but it's YOU.

Imagine looking back at these images in 10, 20 or even 50 years. Such memories will have incredible power to remind yourself how beautiful and confident you are right now at this stage of your life.

Boudoir photography doesn't always have to be provocative with a sexual context. It also can be very elegant, soft, understated with an emphasis on feminine beauty and fine art. This is the style I'm aiming for during my sessions. You can see behind the scenes of one of my recent boudoir photo sessions and the final results below.

A bridal boudoir photoshoot can be a part of your wedding photography package but doesn't need to necessarily take place on your wedding day. It can be also done before or after your wedding. It is better this way when your wedding day schedule is too busy or you just don't want any extra stress on your wedding day.

Behind the scenes of a bridal boudoir photoshoot

Hair and make-up artist: Olga Barassi

Bride/Model: Laura O'Brien

For this bridal boudoir photo session, we decided that a nice clean hotel room would work the best. Everything went really well. Both Laura and Olga did a fantastic job, and we all were thrilled with the final results. We were also lucky enough that Anastasia (also a photographer and videographer) offered to do a behind the scenes video which turned out to be fantastic. It nicely summarised the mood of the day and all the fun we had. You can see it for yourself :)
