Lucy & Shain's Wedding Photography & Video
I love beautiful weddings like this Chicheley Hall Wedding. It was a wonderful wedding celebration featuring a family of four generations. How wonderful is that? Weddings like these allow me to showcase my natural and candid wedding photography.
I also had an opportunity to create the highlight video for this beautiful wedding. I had a great time doing this and loved how I could document the special moments at this wedding. It featured special moments like the bridal preparations, the wedding ceremony and the first dance.
"The moment I saw Veronika’s portfolio I just knew her photography style was for us! She didn’t disappoint at all! She was able to deliver our vision so professionally and execute it in such a beautiful way, thank you Veronika you really have captured our special day perfectly. We are forever grateful to have found you and was so lucky to have booked you!"
Wedding Highlight Video
Lucy and Shain are the lovely couple this wedding celebration was about, and I loved working with them. They had their three sons as page boys, and they looked cherubic in this couples wedding photography. It was a beautiful day.
"Now we have an amazing set of photographs and the best wedding video ever! Anyone looking for a wedding photographer, you are in safe hands with Veronika - you won’t regret it. We also recommend that you get the videography package (we nearly didn’t and that would have been a big mistake! As we would have no motion to look back on!)"
Lastly, I captured all of this with the help of my fantastic second photographer Ling. She's a delight to work with and even took some lovely behind the scenes photos of me. Here are some words on how this gorgeous Chicheley Hall wedding went.
Chicheley Hall Wedding Venue
Chicheley Hall (@chicheley_hall) is a fantastic and majestic wedding venue. I could not photograph the beauty of this venue enough. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces at this wedding venue were phenomenal. They gave Lucy and Shain's wedding a fantastic atmosphere.
Standing tall in Milton Keynes, Chicheley Hall is a hotel wedding venue that will impress. It is one of the top historic wedding venues in the country, and you'll love the rolling fields and beautiful gardens.
You'll also love the architecture at this venue. It played a lovely role in this couple's wedding and looked fantastic. I loved portraying it with my light and airy photography. The décor for the day by Unique Events (@unique_events_london) perfectly complimented the venue too.
Chicheley Hall can host weddings of about 600 guests and offers guests top-notch facilities and amenities. It is licensed for civil ceremonies and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for their celebration.
Wedding Morning Getting Ready
I started the day capturing important details like the wedding vows, declarations, wedding invites and wedding rings. These are important details, so I love to include them in natural photography as the couple gets ready. The stationery for this wedding was handled by the bride, Lucy (@vintagefoils), and she did an incredible job. She designed everything from their wedding invitations to their welcome sign and the guest seating plan.
I also captured the gorgeous wedding dress from Brides and Bustles (@bridesandbustles) and the wedding day perfume. I also took pictures of the bride's shoes and the bridal party's dresses. Everyone looked excited and happy to start the day.
I took pictures of the bride Lucy having her hair and makeup done by Tricia D'Costa Luxury Bridal (@triciasluxurymakeupandhair). I also captured others opening their wedding day gift as this went on. I really loved capturing grandparents and grandkids interacting at the wedding. It was so genuine and beautiful.
Another detail I loved about this moment was how the bride and everyone else included the little ones while getting ready. This was a four-generational wedding, and it was so beautiful to see all four generations all well catered for.
Once Lucy was done and put on her wedding dress, we all admired how gorgeous she looked. I also had a lovely time capturing pictures of Shain with his loved ones. Especially in front of the wedding car, a white Rolls Royce. They had one bespoke suits from Suitors Menswear (@suitors_formal_hire).
The Wedding Ceremony
This Chicheley Hall Wedding was really lovely for me because it gave me a chance to showcase my light and airy wedding photography. I loved capturing the couple and their loved ones who showed up for the celebration.
The wedding ceremony started with guests seated as they waited for the wedding procession to start. The excellent Quartet by Manor House Music (@manorhousemusic) regaled guests with fantastic music when it was time.
To start the wedding ceremony, the bridesmaids descended a spiral staircase first. Lucy then did the same, escorted by her father. It was very beautiful. Guests were on their feet, and Shain looked like he could not wait for Lucy to join him at the altar.
The wedding ceremony then started fully with the female celebrant coordinating the vows and other details. Candid photography is about being as inconspicuous as possible. I loved capturing guests, and the couple as the wedding ceremony went on without being in the way.
Soon enough, Lucy and Shain had said their vows and exchanged rings. It was so beautiful that the best man shed a tear. The couple then shared their first kiss and happily signed their wedding certificate. All the while, the excellent Quartet entertained.
The wedding ceremony then came to a close, with the couple coming out to a receiving line of loved ones. They had a very exciting confetti toss and then shared another kiss to seal the moment. They then had a little meet and greet with loved ones before I captured portraits.
For these photographs, I captured the couple with their loved ones in front of the wedding ceremony space steps. I also took photos of the couple with the wedding car and personal portraits of the bride and the groom. Then it was time to head over for cocktail hour.
Cocktail Hour & Family Portraits
Cocktail hour for this couple really captured the spirit of their family tailored wedding celebration. The Quartet was there again; there were games and even a bouncing castle. The Air Hockey, in particular, was a favourite with older guests. The kids had a lovely time too.
While this was going on, I captured the wonderful couple and their wedding party for the formal portraits. The location we used for these made my light and airy wedding photography really shine through. I had a great time using this skill.
I took wedding photographs of the couple with their wedding party and their family members for their wedding album. These photos came out beautifully, especially the ones with the grandparents. Everyone looked so together and delighted to celebrate the wedding couple.
After this, I used my natural photography to capture the bride and groom portraits. The grounds at Chicheley Hall worked wonderfully for this. Lucy and Shain were also very comfortable with showcasing their love on camera. The photos showed this beautifully.
The Wedding Reception
I also really loved other special details like the chairs and love letters from Stardust Events UK (@stardusteventsuk). The flowers from The Flower Boutique (@theflowerboutiquemk) also stood out and added to the magic of this wedding celebration.
The wedding reception proper started with guests finding their seats. Then the wedding couple descended the spiral staircase, this time together to applause and delighted wedding guests. It was such a beautiful and rich moment.
Family and loved ones gave their speeches and toasts. Shain also gave the thank you speech on behalf of the couple. There was lots of laughter and good cheer all around. You could see how very united this couple and their families are.
After this, I sneaked the wedding couple out for some more lovely wedding portrait photos. My natural wedding photography came into play here as I used the water and other beautiful locations around the wedding venue. I also captured great indoor photos of the couple.
The First Dance & Cake Cutting
After this was the cake cutting and this wedding couple's first dance. The lovely four-tiered masterpiece at this wedding celebration was designed by the bride herself and made by Lindsay Pemberton (@lindsaypembertonofficial). The first dance was also a very magical moment.
After cutting the cake and the first dance, it was time for the party. Other wedding guests joined the couple on the dancefloor, and it was a celebration. I had such a lovely time working with this couple and their wonderful vendors to make this wedding celebration a success.
"Should we ever need a photographer again - we will definitely use Veronika and we do recommend her!"
