Fatima & Nick, an intimate multicultural wedding
Updated: Jul 3
I'm so excited to share with you the first wedding of this year which took place only a day after Valentine's Day. How romantic is that? It was a multicultural Asian/English wedding celebrated only with closest friends and family.
I wish I could photograph weddings like this one all the time because I felt like I was one of the guests! Everyone was so lovely to me, and at the end of the day, the bride's mother told me that it didn't feel like I was there as a photographer but as a part of their family. Hearing this really touched my heart. I was blessed to be part Fatima and Nick's wedding day.
Fatima had her make-up and hair done by a couple of very talented ladies from Harborne, Birmingham. Zaynab (@_zaynabkhan) did Fatima's make-up which enhanced her naturally beautiful face and Sandy (@hairby_sandyx) created a wonderful bridal up-do hairstyle with a stunning hairpiece.
No wedding can be without challenges. The bride's wedding gown's zipper broke off shortly before the ceremony was supposed to begin. Therefore, Fatima went to a seamstress to sew the wedding dress on her body. So at the end of the day, she had to break the dress off. Thankfully, she has done a great job of fixing Fatima's wedding dress and Fatima was a truly stunning bride on her big day.
The reception room looked so romantic. The chairs were decorated with purple ribbons and tabletops with pink rose petals. The bride and groom had a flower backdrop for the intimate ceremony and family photos. It felt warm and cosy inside in contrast to the cold and windy weather outside. Wedding Highlight Video
We had the pleasure of having Veronika as our wedding photographer back in February. It was our first time EVER having professional pics taken but she made us feel super comfortable and at ease. The photos are absolutely brilliant and we couldn’t be any happier with them.
We had an amazing experience and if I had to sum her up in 3 words they would be; friendly, professional and talented.
