Rebekah and David's Wedding Day

It was a beautiful day when Rebekah and David chose to get married in June this year. Their wedding happened at the Hanbury Wedding Barn (@hanbury_wedding_barn), and it was glorious. You'll love the mink décor colour scheme and how fun this wedding was. The venue stylist Louise from Lush Occasions (@lush.occasions) did a great job.

Before we get there, however, I also handled this couple's engagement session. We did it in May during the bluebell season, which perfectly matches the wedding colour scheme. Here are a few words on that, the lovely venue and the wedding day itself.

The Engagement Session

Magical is one word that you can use to describe Rebekah and David's engagement session. Surrounded by blooming bluebells, this couple enjoyed showcasing their love in these gorgeous prewedding photos. Rebekah stunned in jeans, a blouse and a lovely sweater while David had on a button-up shirt and black trousers.

For this session, I captured them on a wooden bridge and a log surrounded by trees. It created the perfect atmosphere of romance needed to make this couple shine. I also captured important details like the engagement ring and took personal portraits of them both. This couple has a very relaxed and down to earth vibe. You can see that elegance in their engagement photos. We all had a great time at this engagement session.

What Rebekah & David say:

I would 100% recommend Veronika to any couple who needs a photographer for their wedding day! She is so lovely and friendly, always ready to help and work with you. She is also very excited to try new things and photo ideas. We were soo happy with our wedding and engagement photos, as they were beautiful and captured amazing moments of the day.

The Wedding venue

As a wedding photographer, I love stunning wedding venues such as the Hanbury Wedding Barn. They help me in my quest to document wedding celebrations in lovely photographs that couples will be proud of in the future. Hanbury Wedding Barn was not lacking in this regard.

This rustic wedding barn is located in the heart of a forest and was perfect for this wedding. You'll love the relaxed atmosphere, red brick walls, spacious courtyard and lots more. Hanbury Wedding Barn also offers all these without losing its elegance and luxury. I loved getting the chance to document this beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Hanbury wedding barn.

What Rebekah and David say:

When looking through our gallery after the wedding it felt like we were re-living the day through Veronika's photos! She is really talented with the way she takes pictures and how she edits them! We are so happy that she was the one who captured our day and would definitely recommend booking your wedding with her!

Getting Ready

The Bride and the Bridal Party

I started the day capturing the details at this lovely wedding. They included the wedding rings and wedding invites. I especially love how this couple's wedding stationery came with a gorgeous welcome sign. It went perfectly with their wedding's colour scheme. So did the designs on the stationery.

After this, I captured the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready. The bride had her lovely wedding dress from a boutique called The Farnham Boutique (@thefarnhamboutiquebridal). I loved capturing this gorgeous dress, designed by Madi Lane Bridal (@madilanebridal) - wildly romantic bridal gowns designed in Australia. Rebekah looked terrific in it.

She and her bridesmaids got ready together, and it was a precious time - especially when the bride put on her flowery headpiece and then shared a toast with her ladies. Everyone was so excited. The bridesmaids had their dresses from JJ's House (@jjshouseuk). It was a lilac mix and match set that beautifully complemented each bridesmaid.

After they were ready, I captured lovely pictures of the bride with her bridesmaids and their beautiful bouquets from the Boutique Florist (@boutique_florist_ltd). Rebekah had five bridesmaids. I also captured some stunning portraits of the bride herself.

The Groom with his Groomsmen

David got ready with his family and groomsmen too. They all had their suits from Moss Bross (@mossbros). The groomsmen were decked out in grey while the groom had on a black suit to distinguish him from his friends.

From helping each other get their boutonnieres right to the portraits, it was evident that these are long-time friends. I especially loved capturing them throwing the groom up in the air. Hanbury Wedding Barn has many great views. I am glad I could use them for this wedding photography.

The Wedding Ceremony

There are many aspects I loved about capturing Rebekah and David's ceremony. The first was how beautifully everyone was dressed. The décor was also very subtle at this outdoor celebration. It went with the relaxed and rustic setting.

The ceremony started with David waiting for his bride, and you should see the joy on his face when he saw her. Soon the ceremony was on its way, and the couple exchanged rings before having their first kiss.

Then it was time for them to come back up the aisle as a married couple, which guests celebrated using confetti. After this, there was a meet and greet with their loved ones. Then I captured the formals with family and their wedding party.

The Wedding Day Photoshoot

For this couple's wedding day portraits, we went out to the fields at the Hanbury Wedding Barn. The greenery and the trees created the perfect serene atmosphere needed for this shoot. As a wedding photographer, I love to capture couples in locations that complement their wedding theme.

Hanbury Wedding Barn was perfect for this couple's shoot. They looked so relaxed and ready to have fun. Rebekah's gown, flowery headpiece and bouquet looked fabulous. I was also able to capture important details like their new wedding rings.

The Wedding Reception

Rebekah and David had an indoor wedding reception at Hanbury Wedding Barn, and it was equally as lovely as their ceremony. The décor was exceptional with unique details done by Louise from Lush Occasions (@lush.occasions). You could tell you'd be in for a good time right from the fantastic welcome sign.

Other things that stood out were the dessert table, the wedding cake and the gifts table. The lovely wedding cake you see here was made by the bride's mother: MartyArtDesigns (@marty_art_designs).

After everyone was seated, Rebekah and Dani walked into many welcomes and applause. The reception was then in full swing with speeches, laughter, the cake cutting and the couple feeding each other.

The toasts were also remarkable and emotional, and everyone had a great time. Then David read the couple's vote of thanks. Soon after, this couple had their romantic first dance, and then everyone joined, and the party was in full swing.

Final Words

Weddings like these are what make my job as a wedding photographer special. I am happy I was able to start this journey alongside Rebekah and David from their engagement session. I also really loved being a part of their day and wish them many more happy milestones.
