Jo and David's Fairy Tale Wedding
If you love glitters and fairy tales, you'll love this Mercure Walton Hall wedding photography. It had all of that, lots of magic and laughter. For this wedding, I handled the engagement session, wedding photography and highlight videos (IG: @veronikaj_photography). So, come with me on this journey of beauty as we experience Jo and David's love story.
What Jo & David Say:
"Veronika did a wonderful job of capturing our special day In photographs. They have a gorgeous light to them that really gave a beautiful glow to show our hot sunny day to its fullest. On the day you hardly knew Veronika was there and that made the shots of guests and moments really natural.
We can’t stop looking at the photos as they really tell the story of our special day and I’ll look at them over and over again to relive the perfect moments again. We can’t thank you enough Veronika xxx"
Wedding Highlight Video
Mercure Walton Hall (IG: @mercurewaltonhall) is a stunning wedding venue in Warwickshire. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and dates back to the 16th century. This gorgeous location looks like a castle and is a perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures. One thing is for sure; you'll love your Mercure Walton Hall wedding photography.
The Mercure Walton hall can host as many as 250 guests for your wedding reception. It is located in the countryside and offers many other wedding services. It was here that Jo and David had their engagement session, wedding and reception. I'm glad to call myself a Mercure Walton Hall wedding photographer.
The Engagement Session
I am delighted that I was able to capture the magnificent photos for this couple's engagement session at their wedding venue, Mercure Walton Hall. It featured their lovely puppy Ruby too. She's very energetic and made the session an enjoyable experience for everyone. She also looked very striking in her pictures.
The couple themselves looked very in love for this session. They were casually dressed, which is a testament to their fun and down to earth personalities. I enjoyed documenting their love. The gardens and hall of Mercure Warton Hall looked terrific as a backdrop for this couple's engagement photos. The water and the bridge were also a part of this lovely shoot.
Getting Ready For The Wedding
I really enjoyed being the Mercure Walton Hall wedding photographer for Jo and David. I started the day by capturing Jo and her entourage as they got ready. Jo's bridal make-up was beautifully done by a very skilled make-up artist Gemma (IG: @gemma.mua) and hair by Nikki from Beau Bella Hair Designs (IG: @beaubellahairdesigns) did her hair.
I was also able to document lovely details like the wedding invitations, bridal accessories and the magnificent wedding gown. The wedding rings, the bride's bouquet and the bridal train wears were not also left out.
Watching Jo share a toast with her ladies and then getting everyone together for some pictures was also really fun. However, the highlight of this experience was when she had a first look with her dad. He cried happy tears, and it was very emotional. It is moments like these that make being a wedding photographer very worth it. I also got some adorable bridal portraits at this point.
The Groom Getting Ready
Next, I was able to capture David as he got ready. He had on a navy-blue suit and a silver tie and looked quite dashing. This was a wedding for happy tears, it seems, because David had those as he opened his wedding morning gifts from Jo. He received golf gloves - David plays golf and a framed map of stars. They watched these stars together on their first date.
Another place I photographed as a Mercure Walton Hall wedding photographer was at this couple's ceremony with stunning floral arrangements made by Hibiscus Floral Design (IG: @hibiscusfloral). It was an intimate wedding with 30 guests (given the covid restrictions) with only the closest friends and family. The day had a relaxed atmosphere with loads of laughter.
You should have seen the look on David's face as he saw Jo come down the aisle (I'm kidding, you can see this in the pictures). You cannot fake the love on his face. This couple genuinely adores each other.
The couple said their vows, signed their certificate, and then shared their first kiss and a married couple. I love how cosy and lovely their wedding ceremony space was. The greenery and candle lighting added an extraordinary magical touch to their Mercure Walton Hall wedding photography.
Cocktail Hour and Wedding Photo Session
Jo and David started their cocktail hour with a receiving line and confetti. It was beautiful. I was able to document some memorable moments of them and their guests as they went around to congratulate the couple.
I also really loved how personalised the décor for the cocktail hour was. You could see pictures of Jo and David as part of the décor. Then, I captured lovely group portraits of the couple and their loved ones at this point.
This couple’s Mercure Walton Hall Photography looked terrific as there were many lovely spaces to use. The winding staircases, for example, added a very castle-like touch to their pictures. It was majestic, and I couldn't have asked for better.
After the cocktail hour was the wedding reception and everyone had a lovely time too. The speeches were really emotional, especially the one from the bride's father. Then the bride gave her speech too even though it's not the tradition. It was beautiful. The couple had their cake beautifully done by Laura Jane Cake Design (IG: @laurajanecakedesign) which perfectly complimented their wedding theme.
It turns out she and David had a big announcement. They announced together that they are expecting a new family member. It was a big surprise for everyone because no one knew that Jo was pregnant until their speech. Congratulations Jo and David!
Then it was time for the cake cutting, the couple's first dance and sparkles, which were beautiful. You can check out the lovely images and the highlight videos to see more about how this special wedding went.
