The Barn at Dinthill Wedding Photography

Sian and Sam's Rustic Wedding at The Barn at Dinthill

Sian and Sam had one of the most beautiful weddings I've seen this year. It was an intimate family affair at The Barn at Dinthill (@thebarnatdinthill) with a relaxed atmosphere. The day was sunny, and I had a lovely time documenting it as their wedding photographer (@veronikaj_photography).

At this Barn at Dinthill wedding, I worked with great vendors, and the results were memorable and fun. Everyone at this wedding had a fantastic time. Here is a little bit about this couple's engagement and how their wedding day went.

Before the wedding, however, I had first captured this couple's lovely engagement photos. It gave me a chance to showcase my natural and luminous photography style. It was also a precious opportunity for me and this couple to get to know each other. I enjoyed every bit of it.

The Engagement Session

The lovely woods at Sian and Sam's beautiful wedding engagement photoshoot gave me a chance to display my natural photography. Dressed in boots, jeans and bomber jackets, this couple was every bit the picture of love. I had such a great time capturing them.

Taking off the jackets meant a new look with different shades of red. It contrasted beautifully with the greenery of the surrounding trees and fields. It looked amazing with the violet flowers too. Sian and Sam are a perfect couple and look very much in love. I am always happy to participate in the engagement photography of couples like Sian and Sam.

The Wedding Venue

The Barn at Dinthill is a lovely farm venue that was perfect for Sian and Sam's rustic wedding. The countryside setting with beautiful landscapes made using my natural wedding photography quite easy.

There are many things to love about this wedding venue. As a wedding photographer, I enjoyed capturing the rolling fields, wooden details and the trees. They looked fantastic as backdrops. This Worcestershire wedding venue is a delight, and I am glad I got to experience it.

Everything from the renovated barn with its rustic charm to the peaceful environment added to the beauty of this couple's wedding photography. The table and chairs from West Country Marquees (@westcountrymarquees) also contributed to the beautiful aesthetic at this event. This wedding was a gem away from the regular hustle and bustle of the city. That made it all the more special.

Wedding Getting Ready

I started the wedding festivities with Sian and her ladies as they got ready. Everyone was in high spirits, so it was easy to drop back and use my candid wedding photography. I also captured the lovely wedding breakfast and the drinks for the toast. Everyone had a great time getting their hair done by Tisch Townley (@hairbytischtownley) and their makeup by Emily Grosvenor (@emilygrosvenor_mua).

Here are a few words from Tisch about Sian's bridal look:

"The beautiful bride Sian had long luscious hair and wanted a bridal hairstyle that accentuated this and showcased it in all its glory.

We decided on a voluminous long braided hair style. Which was both glamorous and wearable. A decorative vine wad weaved through to add texture, interest and sparkle.

Loose curls were added around the face to both soften and frame this style perfectly. An absolute delight to style Sian. I’m sure you all agree this style suits her beautifully."

Soon it was time for Sian to meet with her dad. This sort of first look can be very emotional and special. I had a great time capturing and preserving these moments. I also took portraits of the bride with her bouquet and all the ladies outside.

The Wedding Ceremony

The look on Sam's face as he saw his bride is one no one will forget in a while. Who wouldn't want a groom who cries the moment he sees how beautiful she is? The bridesmaids walked in first, but the moment Sian started down the aisle, Sam was enraptured.

Weddings like these are what makes being a wedding photographer worth it. Soon, they exchanged rings, shared their first kiss and then signed their wedding certificate. Through it all, I was there documenting each moment naturally.

I especially loved when the couple walked out to a receiving line with confetti. Then it was time for cocktail hour.

Cocktail Hour

Since Sian and Sam had an intimate celebration with only loved ones, their cocktail hour was fantastic. There was lots of fun, games and laughter. It started with the couple saying hi personally to everyone. I love it when weddings have this kind of intimacy. It makes the photography easily genuine and fun.

The games were really awesome too. I especially loved the colourful bouncing castle from Premier Bounce Shropshire. The kids had a love time with it. It looked fantastic and fun. I also loved how natural and gorgeous the décor here was. Nothing was forced, and the wooden details gave a lovely rustic vibe to the wedding. Just like the couple wanted.

Another thing I loved about this wedding was that the couple had an outdoor speech. Being able to use my luminous photography as a result of the lovely sunlight was terrific. The pictures came out amazing because of this.

The Wedding Day Photoshoot

As a candid wedding photographer, people often ask, "What about Portraits? Do you plan them or take those naturally, too?' The truth is a little bit of the two. I give some advice, and then I get back behind the lens and let the subjects be themselves for the photos. The results are often fantastic, just like with Sian and Sam.

They, their wedding party and their guests had a fantastic time during the portraits. I captured everyone looking their best, especially the couple. It was a beautiful sunny day, and we had stunning sunlight for our bride and groom portraits.

The Wedding Reception

The wedding reception setup was truly magical, illuminated only with candles and fairytale lights. I must say that the wedding planner, Luna Rose Events (@luna_rose_events) did a fantastic job. I loved the semi-naked cake from Julia's Cake Co. It looked amazing and fitted right in with the rustic wedding theme.

The Wedding Breakfast

I also loved how unconventional this wedding was. Sian and Sam really took the day and made it their own. Guest got to mingle, have a delicious meal from WE Catering (@we.catering) and bond with others. The couple was also right there with them having a great time.

The First Dance & Party

By the evening, The DJ, Stealth Weddings (@stealthweddings), threw a great party and everyone had a great time. It started with a romantic first dance by the couple; then everyone joined in. This couple and their loved ones had a wonderful time at their wedding, and I am glad I got to be a part of it.
